OUR MISSION
I started Nu Interiors to design spaces rooted in authenticity, values, and human connection. We are a holistic, purpose-driven studio focused on collaboration and emotionally intelligent design practices. Informed by neuroaesthetics and the way our surroundings shape mood and behavior, our work is inclusive, impactful, and centered on advancing equity in design. I believe that everyone should have access to a well-thought, well-designed space.
NUREED SAEED
Owner & Creative Director
Award-winning Bay Area-based designer Nureed Saeed is the owner and creative director of Nu Interiors, a full-service interior design and remodeling firm specializing in kitchen, bathroom, and interior renovations, servicing California, New Jersey, and beyond.
For more than a decade, Nureed has leveraged her natural design sense, project management expertise, and care into helping her clients create homes filled with love and purpose. Within just four years of launching, Nu Interiors was named one of The LuxPad’s
Top 15 Interior Designers in New Jersey. Nureed and Nu Interiors have since been featured in Sunset Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, House Beautiful, San Francisco Magazine, Design NJ, and other leading design publications.
Before founding Nu Interiors, Nureed spent over 15 years in the fashion industry, working in buying, product management, licensing, and brand management for notable designers such as Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole.
In recognition of her leadership and advocacy, Nureed was named the Kitchen & Bath Business Person of the Year in 2023, a 2023 ASID “Ones to Watch” winner, and a 2022 Innovator Award recipient by Kitchen & Bath Design News for her work in advancing equity in design. She also holds a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University’s ILR School and currently serves as President of the National Kitchen & Bath Association, Northern California Chapter.
When she’s not helping clients bring their design dreams to life or volunteering in her community, Nureed is the busy mother of 12-year-old twins and an 11-year-old. She and her husband, Muzy, live with their children in Northern California, where travel, delicious cuisine, and a shared passion for anything music, art, and design are the center of their time together.
