Nureed Saeed of NuInteriors:
Home-Lifestyle Coach for Millennials Moving to the Suburbs

Nu Interiors, an interior design firm based in South Orange, NJ, is offering consultation services for people transitioning from life in the city to life in the suburbs.

Nureed Saeed, Founder of Nu Interiors, said, “I made the move myself 2 1/2 years ago, and I had to figure a lot out on my own. I had the benefit of being in the field, but given I was 6 months pregnant when we purchased the home and began renovations, I would have loved to have someone who could have helped me with expectations and provide answers to all those nagging little questions that constantly come up.”

“Having gone through ‘the process’ myself, I want to share my experiences and knowledge with those now making the journey.”

Nu Interiors is offering those considering a move to the suburbs assistance in the following areas:

  • Pre-view the home with your realtor to determine it meets your home goals
  • Provide an assessment on the viability of projects being considered before purchasing a homeVision board for spaces to see potential of a home
  • Furnishings wish list
  • Scope of Work drafting (This list can then be taken and provided to contractors for bids.)

Background and info on company:

Nureed Saeed– Owner and Designer founded Nu Interiors 2 ½ year ago and has been bringing her functional design approach to homes throughout the NY, NJ area. She has spent 15 years in fashion cultivating her taste by working with luxury brands such as Cartier, Ferragamo, Montblanc, Carolina Herrera, Chopard, Alexis Bittar, as well as household names including Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Kenneth Cole and Greg Norman.

Her approach to design is best summed up in her own words, “As a designer I believe in the balance of form, function and comfort. Your home needs to be a beautiful space, but it also needs to function for your daily life and feel comfortable as well. Good design needs to be accessible, especially when it involves the home.  A designer, and design, needs to be approachable and appreciate the needs and desires of the people living in a particular space. My design process involves partnering with my clients in an open, collaborative atmosphere.

As a mother of three, I know first-hand what it means to have to balance a busy life with a growing family, and what it means to have a home that not only works for my family but —at the end of the day— also feels like an oasis of calm.”
